Free guided walks - Walking for Health

Walking for Health

Did you know that walking for 30 minutes or more a day can help to prevent illness such as heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes; aid weight loss; improve self-esteem, mood and sleep quality; reduces stress, anxiety and fatigue and aid overall physical and mental wellbeing.

Our Walking for Health Team are leading two free walks a week on every Monday at 1pm and Wednesday at 12pm. The walks will last 30-45 minutes and it's a great way to get away from your desk, have a chat and meet some new people.

Each walk has limited places so you need to sign up. To do so contact the sports and fitness centre on sfc@liverpool.ac.uk or 0151 794 3307, or drop in and see one of the reception team.

These walks are open to staff and students at the University and we ask that when you begin these walks, a Walker Registration Form is completed. Please print this out and bring along to your first walk.

We look forward to seeing you on a walk soon!
