Welcome Week - IT help and support for students

Computing Services will be providing a range of support for new students during Welcome Week, including drop-in laptop clinics, IT & Academic Registration Drop-in Centre and online IT Quickstart.

Staff are welcome to encourage and direct students to these services to help them get started with IT at the University.

* IT Quickstart for students
IT Quickstart provides an overview of key tools such as Webmail and VITAL - http://www.liverpool.ac.uk/csd/quickstart/

* At Halls of Residence
During arrival weekend and Welcome Week, Computing Services staff will be available to help students connect their laptops, tablets and mobiles to the University network. Details of times and locations are available at http://www.liverpool.ac.uk/csd/quickstart/getting-help/

* IT & Academic Registration Drop-in Centre
During Welcome Week, CSD and Student Administration and Support will be on hand at drop-in sessions in the Central Teaching Hub to help students activate their University computing account, get their laptops and mobiles connected to the network, and complete their academic registration in Liverpool Life.

* Laptop Clinics
Drop-in clinics will be held in Brownlow Hill Building during the first few weeks of term to help students connect their laptops to the University network.
