Free guided walks

Get your new year off to a healthy start!

Free guided walks on and off campus (no booking required).

The Walking for Health Team lead two free walks a week on every Monday at 1pm and Wednesday at 12pm (meeting point outside the main entrance of the Sports Centre). The walks last 30-45 minutes and as you may be aware, walking for 30 minutes or more a day can do wonders for both your physical and mental wellbeing. Your daily step count will improve significantly!

We have a range of routes, including Faulkner Square, the Cathedrals, St James Gardens, Rodney Street, Bombed Out Church, Crown Street Park and around campus.

These walks are open to staff and students at the University and we ask that when you begin these walks, a Walker Registration Form is completed. This can be completed before you begin the walk with one of the Walk Leaders.

The Walking for Health Team can also offer walks for specific events on campus, such as conferences or wellbeing sessions. To arrange a booking please contact Vikki Marshall.
