1st Annual PGR Conference April 2020

We are delighted to be hosting the 1st Annual Postgraduate Research Conference which will take place over 1st and 2nd April 2020 in the University's South Teaching Hub.
The theme for this first conference is Your Voice. This multi-faceted theme has been designed to bring together PGRs from all backgrounds, to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of each research journey, and what each of you bring to the table in the form of your research or other activities including public engagement. All of your research is unique, and we have all been inspired and motivated in some shape or form to pursue, grow and shape our projects as well as being influenced by the world around us both close and far. We hope to explore this during the conference. We are also hoping to hear from anyone who has advice about how to manage the degree whilst living life, with jobs, children or other responsibilities.
We want to hear about your journey, from its roots to where you ultimately want it to reach, which we feel encompasses all stages of a project. This can be anything from your underlying motivations, the methods underpinning your work, your personal or professional development, the challenges you have faced to reach your ultimate aims and goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your inspirations and aspirations in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Come and meet other researchers to form new connections and great new collaborations to enhance your research. Or why not gain new experiences and present your research by giving a talk within a supportive and relaxed environment as a confidence builder for other conferences which you may participate in the future. We already have a number of speakers and we will be happy to welcome more so please do get in touch if you would like to take part. The programme is not yet finalised but we have attached some of the abstracts for talks already planned.
We will be providing lunch and refreshments for participants and speakers for both days. If you would like to take part as a speaker, please email ldc@liverpool.ac.uk with a short abstract. We will be very happy to hear from you.
