HSS Student Experience event series

The Student Experience team in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has organised a number of events over the coming months to discuss pertinent Education and Student Experience topics:

Rescheduled: 5 February 2019 - HSS Student Research Showcase (held in conjunction with The Guild)
This will showcase research undertaken by Course Reps and also staff and student reflections from last year's Undergraduate Research Scheme.

12 February 2020 - Enhancing Student Engagement Through Partnership with Prof. Colin Bryson.
Professor Colin Bryson of Newcastle University. Professor Bryson is currently the Director of Newcastle's Combined Honours Centre, as well as being the founder and chair of RAISE (Researching, Advancing & Inspiring Student Engagement), an international network of students and Higher Education staff interested in student engagement. Drawing on these experiences, Professor Bryson will be sharing his thoughts on how to enhance student engagement through partnership.

19 February 2020 - TESTA Refresher Event
This session is intended to refresh colleagues' understanding of TESTA and will provide an opportunity to discuss its impact.

18 March 2020 - Decolonising the Curriculum with Lucia Kula (SOAS)
Lucia Kula from SOAS University of London will be joining us to talk about her work as part of Decolonising SOAS, a project which seeks to address the way in which the legacies of colonialism produce injustices within higher education.
